Christopher

"Mari’s place was AWESOME! We stayed here while I participated in the Georgia Death Race (ultramarathon), and her cabin conveniently bordered the beginning of the course! Beautiful, clean, everything you could want in a relaxing mountain cabin. And that hot tub was amazing the day after running 74ish miles. 🙌 In terms of responsiveness, my wife accidentally locked herself out and Mari responded immediately to remedy the situation. We would absolutely stay here again and can’t recommend it enough!"

WATERFALLS

thraylata falls.jpg

Hike the scenic Trahlyta Lake Trail at Vogel State Park, following the shore of the beautiful mountain lake to the stunning cascades of Trahlyta Falls and iconic views of Blood Mountain.

Two gorgeous waterfalls. A beautiful forest filled with tumbling creeks and gnarly, leathery-leafed rhododendron. And, legend holds, the site where a piece of armor was found, thought to be from the epic expedition of explorer Hernando de Soto in the mid 1500s. DeSoto Falls is well worth the visit.

Raven Cliff Trailhead is in the Chattahoochee National Forest. The rock wall up there is usually iced over in the winter making it even more impressive. On pretty days, during peak seasons, it gets filled up quickly.

Helton Creek Falls cascades in the set of two waterfalls, sliding down in tendrills through a beautiful, hemlock-filled creek valley. The trail to thesee gorgeous waterfalls isn't a long hike - in fact, the trail's extremely short distance qualifies it as more of a short walk in the woods.
